Does the title ring a bell to you? Well im talking about the reliance mobile commercial that was aired for advcertising their newly launched colour mobile phones. Its been quite some time since the commercial was released.

I’m trying to get hold of the video or audio. but i was only able to find the hindi version. Its called Rang Barse and was able to find in youtube. But seems like i cant see the tamil version. Both the versions are rich in their own way.
If anyone has the tamil version please send it to me.

For those who havent read my previous post , i have lost my entire music collection of tamil songs of about 4000 songs .. FYI all of them were properly tagged . I spent nearly 5 years tagging them. So now that i dont have any dsongs on my hdd i thought of listening to any online tamil radios and i was pretty surprised to find quite a lot of websites offering online radio. I guess since tamils are spread all over the world many sites that offer downloads are alson offering online radios taht would allow ppl who are on the comp all the time working to listent to songs without the need to have all the songs in their hard drive.

out of all the sites i like fmworldmusic.com that has dedicated channels for each of the tamil music directors!

Warning : i am really pissed off right now and i would probably use harsh words forswearing at my HDD that just failed.

I lost my entire music collection (nearly 4000 and odd songs) today.
I had this 120 GB HDD . it had some probs when i took it

i formatted it and was using it and it had no problems till date.

I hadnt enough space in the good HDDS i have

so i just moved them to this fucked up HDD…

and to top this fucked up story drive

and to top this fucked up story i tried updating my backup drive with this software and it made some folders have redundant copies of same songs

so i just cleared my entire backup drive and fill them up with the songs from the fucked up drive which had’nt given any signs of going down yet

i had just cleared my back up drive and i turned to the other comp to copy from this culprit son of a bitch hard drive

and BAMMM!

all that 5 years of tagging went off

just like that! I’m hoping my bro has atleast 50percent of the collection in his laptop

lets seee…Ill hav to build from scratch…

i feel like my hands been ripped off

GATE 2009

I havent even started preparing for my GATE exam properly. Will probably start today. Well i know i have been telling this to my self for the past few days but come one it just cant keep continuing. Soon i will reach a point where i have to start!

With CS and IT papers combined to gather i am sure the competition will be much more this time. Lets see.

I just found out freshers works also has a dedicated section for GATE.

have no idea of where to start!

Hey guys… I just experienced what would actually happen when the grounding is not proper at your home or work place or anywhere! I just got back my G945 series motherboard back from service. The computer failed to wake up everyday morning. so we had the SMPS changed. then she worked without a glitch for a few days and then problem started again . so this time we probably thought it might br a problem with te motherboard instead. i believe there are some capacitors that fail and malfunction and henc the comp might not start. There Was a problem with the cap in the smps but then now it seems to be a cap in th m/b. The frustrating part was that the m/b worked perferctly fine at the repair centre.
So got it back today set it up my table without any screws and checking it.
i realised i was experiencing mild shock whenever i touched the computer casing.

I set everything up and then when i started hearing to songs i noticed a distinct white hushin noise in the earphones. The neutral was floating at around 20 volts. then suddenly the noice went away . Thats when i realised the noise was actually related to the ground.

I mean its not like i havent studied the concept of grounding , but then today was when i practically felt it and experienced problems in my computer. Normally its just acquired knowledge of faults in boring text books going on and on in a never ending way about transmission lines and substations etc.

I believe this grounding and neutral floating problems y\used to be a big problem in earliedr times about 20 years back. They used to make the printers and other devices connected through parallel and com ports to malfunction. Even if the folat value was say 10V it would majorly affect these devices as they operated at ver low voltage levels.

Really??? Is this how IT companies are???

Airtel’s touchy AD!

I just saw airtel’s new TV AD….

Its abt two boys playing football along the line of control… I really like the theme of the song. And i heard that they got rehman to do the music for the ad! But i dont think it makes airtel any better…
What i feel is that airtel can instead concentrate in better customer support.
It takes them more than half a day for them to rectify a my broadband problem. If it takes so much time for someone like me who has pretty good knowledge on internet , computers and some basic electrical wiring , then imagine for people in big companies with less knowledge in the above mentioned areas.
And to make it worse the information put up in airtel’s site is MISLEADING! i shall write detailed information on that in my forthcoming posts…

My Day with Airtel

Today was a very bad day for me. My airtel broadband connection suddenly stopped working. And my dad had to wake me up to call the airtel people and complaint to them. Although i was lazy and sleepy i woke up and called them and i was not very happy about the fact that i had to wait for a really long time for them to pick up the phone.And to make it worse i was not actually listening to a tring tring sound, instead i was listening to even more annoying airtel ads.
Then it took quite some time for me and the customer care executive to find out that either my splitter or my modem has to be faulty.And the person on the other end was pretty convinced that the connections was not proper.
By afternoon i got confirmed that the problem was surely not with the wired connections. Then i made a complaint about the situation again and had the airtel tech support guy come here. Only then we found out it was actually a problem with the modem.
It was 4 in the evening by the time everything was rectified.
Now the new modem, beetel 220BXI , looks exactly the same as the old beetel 220 BX except for the way the data led glows(in the new modem it glows only when the transfer actually happens.)
